Measure Your Impact. Design Your Solution.

Estimate your carbon footprint and explore renewable-energy solutions designed around your energy consumption.

How the application works

  1. 01

    Enter your energy data

Electricity, heating fuels, and travel distances. Optional fields stay optional.

  2. 02

    Calculate your estimated footprint

Inputs are combined with regional emission factors from a separate data layer.

  3. 03

    Explore renewable solutions

Solar PV, battery storage, wind and efficiency measures sized against your usage.

  4. 04

    Compare potential reduction

See indicative emissions reduction per measure, with the assumptions behind each one.

Why carbon footprint calculations matter

Energy decisions are engineering decisions. Before sizing a solar array, replacing a furnace, or arguing for a retrofit budget, you need a quantified baseline: how much energy is consumed, where it comes from, and what emissions it implies.

A footprint estimate turns diffuse consumption into comparable numbers. It shows which category dominates — often electricity in a fossil-heavy grid, or heating in a cold climate — so effort goes where the leverage is, instead of where intuition points.

It also sets the denominator for any solution. A 6 kWp array means nothing on its own; it means something against 9,000 kWh of annual consumption and a known grid intensity.

Engineering ground rules

  • · Outputs are modelled estimates, never measurements.
  • · Every factor lives in one configuration layer, with source and status.
  • · Assumptions and uncertainty are shown alongside every result.
  • · Units are stated explicitly: kg CO2e/year and t CO2e/year.
Emission factors shipped today are unverified placeholders. Results demonstrate the method, not your real emissions.
